Horse Power Team Building – Professional Power Up uses the power and virtue of the horse to assist team members in identifying strengths, weaknesses, building communication skills, fostering creativity and innovation, problem solving as a team, and much more.
Objectives
Horse Power Professional Power Up is a one-of-a-kind team building event. Our horses do the teaching, and our equine specialist team offers explanations and provide guidance.
Specialized activities are facilitated to develop problem-solving skills, communication skills, and self-actualization, while encouraging individuals to work cohesively as a team for positive results. With today’s technology and the isolation caused by COVID-19, many of us have a great need to reconnect. This unique process of horse/human interaction is an effective approach to team building and leadership development.
Your organization will experience results immediately. Working with horses tends to create a lasting impression that helps participants remember the training for far longer than just sitting in a classroom. We have even seen emotional healing occur during the process and relationships restored with coworkers.
Horses have a lot to teach us because they are very similar in their social interactions to humans. Herds are to horses what teams are to people, and just as we need strong leadership in our workplace, horses require a leader that they can trust and respect.
Interpersonal communication skills are often lacking in today’s corporate environment, but horses can reveal the hidden dynamics of your team. They can hear our heartbeats and will react to the slightest changes within a group, which allows facilitators to find those “teachable moments” that will make a big impact.
This life-changing work team building professional power up builds trust and communication in a fun, engaging atmosphere that is collaborative rather than competitive. It is a powerful journey of teaching, learning, and understanding.
Why Equine Therapy/Learning/Horsemanship Works:
Humans can relate to horses in a way they might not be able to do with people in their lives. As they identify with the horses, they often become more open to learning and communication. Horses communicate with complete honesty and use nonverbal communication. Much of human communication is nonverbal as well, but humans can mask their true feelings with each other. With human-horse communication, humans cannot mask what is inside them and they quickly come to realize this as therapy ensues. As they are exposed to this type of communication develops an honest relationship with the horse, these are what develops in the human: trust, dependability, responsibility, empathy, awareness of boundaries, discipline, patience, and respect. As a result of successful relationship with the horse, the person will often begin to demonstrate these qualities in their relationships and interactions with others.
